Volunteer with Houston A+ Challenge
Houston A+ Challenge welcomes offers of time and talent from individuals who are passionate about helping all students in the Houston region prepare for post-secondary success.
In the 2010-11 school year, we are working with students, teachers and school leaders in six Houston-area schools across the region. Each school has its own unique set of opportunities for volunteer assistance from citizens like you.

Ways to Volunteer
Volunteers can get involved with Houston A+ Challenge in a number of ways:
- Tutor students at Challenge Network schools in reading or mathematics;
- Provide translation services for family outreach - through written materials or home visits with A+ staff members;
- Support special A+ events including our annual "Power of the Network" dinner or annual speaker series;
- Host a house party where fellow A+ supporters can learn more about our initiatives.
Please be advised that each school and school district has its own set of policies and rules governing volunteers, and Houston A+ Challenge volunteers who wish to work at schools must adhere to all of these standards.
