Renita Miller comes to Houston A+ Challenge by way of Education Pioneers, as an intern working on a data research project for the Public Education Network (Houston A+ Challenge's national affiliate) and a program evaluation for the Region 4 Principal Academy. Ms. Miller graduated from Baylor University with a bachelors in Business Administration and a masters of Political Science in Education Policy from Rice University, where she is currently finishing her doctorate dissertation in Political Science, titled "Committee deliberation in Texas legislature among minority state representatives". The native Houstonian has previously worked as a lecturer and researcher at Rice University, a representative and district trainer for a pharmaceutical company, and was president of her own consultant company. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and cites her education and her family as her personal accomplishments.
