“It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” – Confucius

Daniel Arroyo Hernandez joins Houston A+ Challenge with nearly eight years of experience in the education field, most recently having served as Assistant Principal of Jane Long Middle School in Houston ISD.  Daniel received his Associate of Science degree from Houston Community College Southeast, and earned both a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies 4-8 and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Houston Downtown. He also holds a Region IV principal certification. Daniel gained his teaching experience as a middle school English Language Arts and Science instructor for English as a Second Language students, and as a Teacher’s Assistant in Content Mastery, Multi-Impaired, Life Skills and Behavior Adjustment classrooms. A product of Houston ISD schooling himself, Daniel is a firm believer that all children are capable of learning if given the opportunity.  He believes that all students crave structure and direction, which he enthusiastically is willing to provide, whether that is in the role of teacher, administrator, principal, or confidant.  Daniel desires to revive the urge in all students to want to learn more and not just settle for the minimum.
