Alecia L. Bell

Alecia Bell has served as a classroom teacher for Houston ISD since 2003.  In 2005 she was selected Teacher of the Year at Cullen Middle School, where she taught reading and theatre arts; sponsored the drill team, theatre and book clubs; provided technical support and mentorship to new teachers; served as a staff development facilitator; and was a member of the Principal’s Leadership Committee and the Shared Decision Making Committee.  Alecia is a Fellow of the Houston Teachers Institute, and currently is working toward a Masters Degree in Leadership in Educational Administration.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Prarie View A&M University.  Alecia’s aspirations include becoming principal of a school in an urban community and becoming the director of her own girls’ home.
