The Houston A+ Challenge has named three new members to its Board of Trustees: William K. Crouch, Continental Airlines; Thomas Elsenbrook, Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting; and VJ Turner, Jr., ExxonMobil Corporation.
William K. Crouch is Managing Director of Human Resource Information Systems for Continental Airlines, Inc. He has served in many capacities during his 20 years with Continental, and is currently directing Continental’s paperless initiatives. Mr. Crouch is Chairman of the Continental Scholarship Fund and a member of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Education and Workforce Advisory Committee. He and his wife Karen have three children.
Thomas Elsenbrook, Managing Director for Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting LLC, works with the company's top management to design and execute corporate and business unit strategies. Mr. Elsenbrook has worked with corporations in a variety of industries, including energy, commercial services, and construction in the alignment of organizational structures and developing and implementing growth strategies.
VJ Turner, Jr., is Manager of Global Data Center Operations for ExxonMobil Corporation. A graduate of Houston ISD’s Kashmere High School, Mr. Turner holds degrees in electrical engineering — a B.S. from Prairie View A&M University and an M.S. from University of Texas-Austin — and joined Exxon in 1982. He was named Texas-Ex Distinguished African-American in Engineering. Mr. Turner and his wife Phillis have two children.
