The Statement of Commitment is an agreement of support signed by the district superintendent, principal and coach. The statement fully endorses and commits the participation of the school, its principal, coaches and CFG members. The provisions contained in the Statement of Commitment are recommendations. These statements express what will be required to do this work well.
The School District:
- Will provide time each month for CFGs to meet as a group, including time to prepare for observations and debriefing.
- Will allocate a stipend to each CFG each year for books, equipment, supplies, refreshment and other meeting expenses.
- Will demonstrate active support for the CFG program by providing release time and substitutes (where applicable), travel expenses for coaches to attend a national meeting (when possible) and the regional/local meetings during the each of the first two years of their CFG work.
- Will provide funding for school principal to attend the Houston A+ Challenge leadership seminars.
The Principal:
- Will attend the Houston A+ Challenge leadership seminars.
- Will connect the Houston A+ Challenge leadership work with CFG work and school work.
